Moellers is appointed to vacant Sheffield City Council post

SHEFFIELD — The Sheffield City Council met in special session Tuesday evening, Nov. 16.

The Council reviewed the application for the vacant Council position, with the term for that spot scheduled to end in 2023.

Becky Moellers was unanimously approved, with Mayor Scott Sanders then swearing her in to the post.

The hiring committee discussed the applicants for the Police Department position. The Council voted to approve an offer to the applicant for $18 per hour before they attend the academy and $18.65 after the completion at the academy.
