Rockwell Council discusses tree removal

ROCKWELL — The Rockwell City Council spent a good portion of its July 21 regular meeting discussing the removal of trees.

Public Works Director Jay Siefken told the Council he had obtained quotes from Keeling Tree Service and Ries Excavating to remove the stump at 213 Main Street East. Siefken noted that the stump will need to be quartered to get it hauled away. Following discussion, the Council approved the cost for the project not to exceed $2,500.
