Meservey approves fire department project

     Much of the discussion at the Meservey City Council meeting in July centered around the proposed construction on the fire station for the future possibility of getting a new pumper truck for the town.

     There was an objection in writing presented to the council, and there was a call for an audit of city finances was made. The audit would make sure the city is solvent enough to take on a loan for the construction. Councilman Dickman pointed out that an audit is very expensive and that most people probably don’t realize that.

     Resident Monty Schmale said he thought the town had more of a need for emergency medical services and possibly an ambulance.
