Cerro Gordo Primary Results

The primary Election Day was held Tuesday, June 7. Cerro Gordo county residents flooded to the voting locations in numbers dwarfing past primaries.

“Turnout was significantly higher for primary elections across the county,” said Cerro Gordo County Auditor Adam Wedmore.

The average voter turnout since 2004 has been 8.5 percent, discounting 2020. Nearly doubling that, the 2022 primary had a 16.75 percent turnout. Absentee votes saw a substantial increase with approximately 1140 this year – more than triple the 366 from 2018.
