West Fork freshman Kale Petersen earned his first state trip by finishing runner-up at 106 pounds in his third straight weekend of dropping a match to third-ranked Garret Rinken of Nashua-Plainfield.
Petersen, who pinned Lake Mills’ Kinser Hanson in 3 minutes, 17 seconds, lost by fall to Rinken in the final in 3:02. He didn’t have to wrestleback.
