BTS joke they brought luck after England’s World Cup win

RM told 65,000 fans at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday night, “Congrats on the win last night,” as BTS returned to London after England’s 3-2 World Cup win over Mexico. He added, “We always bring the luck to every place we play,” and pointed to previous stops in Belgium and London.

The show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium drew 65,000 fans, the largest concert crowd the venue has ever hosted. Both July 6 and July 7, 2026 were listed as sold out, giving BTS two nights in north London and marking their first UK dates since 2019.

BTS last performed in Britain in 2019, when they became the first South Korean act to headline Wembley Stadium. A planned 2020 return was cancelled when Covid shut down the Map of the Soul tour, and all seven members then completed compulsory military service in South Korea before regrouping for the 2026 run.

RM said, “There was Covid, there was military, and now we're here in 2026 together.” Suga said he was still feeling the emotion of performing there seven or eight years ago, while J-Hope said it was an honour to play in the same stadium where South Korean captain Son Heung-min made his name.

The London dates sit inside BTS’s ARIRANG World Tour, which Official Charts calls the biggest K-pop tour in history. At the time the London shows were announced, the tour stretched to 79 shows across 34 regions. The London takeover included landmark illuminations, exhibitions, fan activations, pop-ups and local collaborations, with the London Eye lit for BTS’s arrival and a BTS THE CITY LONDON boat experience on the Thames.
