     August 31 was the last day for candidates to file if they intended to run for office in the state of Iowa.

     Incumbent District 1 Supervisor Jay Urdahl, a Democrat, is running against Republican challenger Tim Latham, a Mason City businessman.

     In the Supervisor District 3 race, Democrat incumbent Phillip Dougherty is seeking reelection against Republican Chris Watts for the third time.

     Incumbent County Auditor Kenneth Kline and incumbent Sheriff Kevin Pals were the lone candidates to file papers from either party for their respective offices and will run unopposed.
