Race is on for WF school board seat

A race for West Fork’s open District One school board spot began after the July 30 filing deadline.

     Incumbent Rob Heimbuch will run against Meagan Wentz, Rockwell, and Kevin Zeitler, Rockwell, for the position in the Sept. 8 election. Incumbent Mary Beth Sukup, Dougherty, will run unopposed for the District Two seat. It will be her 10th year on the five-member board.

     “I’d like to keep a good thing going,” she said. “Things seem to be going very well. We have a great little school district in the state of Iowa and I’d like to see that proceed.”
