Sheffield’s People in the Park returned to the Sheffield City Park this year for a perfect sunny day of fun, games and food on Saturday, Aug. 19. Members of the Sheffield and other Franklin and Cerro Gordo County communities spent the day mingling with friends, playing games of tag, dancing and showing their support for the Sheffield Community Club, which hosted the event. This was the club’s second time hosting People in the Park in solo fashion.
The day began with the Bridgeto- Bridge Duck Race, hosted by the Sheffield Lion’s Club, during which community members could purchase rubber ducks and win a monetary prize if their duck won the race down Bailey Creek.
