Sheffield City Council moves forward with Police Chief hiring process

The Sheffield City Council discussed cigarette permits, the local pool, legal action, the Police Chief hiring process, speed bumps, and the city park in their regular meeting on Monday, June 13.

To begin, the council heard from a member of the former beautification committee in Sheffield during the public forum. Roger Madsen, a resident of Sheffield, expressed some concern towards the maintenance of lawns, sidewalks, and buildings. He also discussed garbage pick up and construction in town. The council thanked him for bringing these matters to their attention.
