Thornton City Council discusses plans for nuisance properties

THORNTON — The Thornton City Council at its regular meeting Monday night discussed the City’s future plans for dealing with nuisance properties.

One suggestion that was made by City Attorney Mike Moeller regarding nuisance properties would be to have a law enforcement member deliver to the property owner a cover letter along with a notice to abate the property or building in question.

Another topic that was discussed was dealing with junked vehicles as to how it would be determined if they are being worked on or needed to be placed in storage.
