SHEFFIELD – Travis Fekkers remembers what happened when West Fork may have looked past an opponent.

With a chance at redemption in the 2017 Class 1A district final, the senior Warhawk guard/forward knows his team can’t look past St. Ansgar, a team they swept during the regular season.

When asked if he was confident going into Thursday’s game against the Saints, Fekkers was a bit guarded.

“We’re pretty confident,” Fekkers said. “We’re still trying to put the pieces together. So we’ve got to look through St. Ansgar’s scouting report and get ready, our personnel, the strategy and defense and all…game-by-game, that’s kind of our thing.

“Because we had a good team last year and we may have overlooked a team and lost in the district final, so now we’re back and we have a few players back who got some minutes on that team and we’ve got to take it game-by-game and focus in.”
