West Hancock tops West Fork in sub-state final

CLARION – More than a minute remained in this Class 1A sub-state final and the score was tied at 42-all.
West Hancock senior Dylan Eckels then delivered the dagger with a three-pointer from the left side that put West Hancock up for good against West Fork.
It also delivered a third straight state trip for the Eagles as they sealed this one at the free throw line in the final minute of the 53-44 winner for West Hancock.
“The kids weren’t hitting shots and really didn’t want to shoot and were waiting to see who would step up and no one wanted to step up and take the big shot,” West Fork coach Frank Schnoes said…
