The Thornton City Council met on Monday, September 12 and here are the highlights:
Tom Madden from Short Elliot Hendrickson, an engineering firm, reported to the Council that the lagoon relining project was completed and recommended the Council accept the project, which they did unanimously.
Madden also reported that the Iowa DNR requires a permit and fee prior to installation of a flow meter at the lift station. Quality Pump Control is putting a proposal for the meter together.
