SHEFFIELD – Last week’s Class A No. 9 Mason City Newman football team came to Sheffield for the Warhawks’ district opener and rolled out to a 51-12 win on Friday, Sept. 9.
The Knights moved up to No. 8 this week in the poll.
The Knights held a 16-0 lead before coach Eric Gabe’s team reached the scoreboard.
West Fork got its first score on a big play as Cole Hall rambled for a 47-yard touchdown run with 6 minutes, 57 seconds left until half. The two-point try failed, however.
