Rockwell City Council hosts reception for Rick Whitney

ROCKWELL — Following a farewell reception for retiring Chief of Police Rick Whitney last Wednesday, the Rockwell City Council conducted a regular meeting.

Mayor Mike Flatness thanked Whitney for his 20 years of service to the community.

“With Chief Whitney’s retirement, we have advertised in several places and are hoping to find a good fit for our community,” Flatness said.

Flatness noted that badges will need to be ordered when the position is filled, with the Council then approving that idea.
