Two residents were vying for the seat

The Sheffield City Council and Mayor Nick Wilson appointed a new member to the Council after Ron Simmons abruptly resigned Feb. 14. Two Sheffield residents, James Robbins and Sheri Bogue, applied to be the new Council member.
