OSAGE – Titles for Austin Larson, Jake Hansen and Zach Martinek, plus a runner-up finish helped West Fork’s boys finish fourth in the top of Iowa East held at Osage on Thursday, May 4.
Larson won the 110 hurdles, clocking in at 15.26, a new career best by three-tenths of a second. He had recorded that best less than two week’s previous.
Hansen wasn’t far off of his season best in the 1,600, but it was more than good enough to best Nashua-Plainfield’s Dayton Hansen by 11 seconds for his fourth Top of Iowa title overall. He swept the distance races a year ago. Jake Hansen also finished third in the 800.
