SHEFFIELD – Clay Emhoff hit 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles and drove in three runs in an upset of magnificent proportions as West Fork’s baseball team defeated top-ranked and defending state champion Mason City Newman on Monday, June 19.
Lukas Wogen added a 3-for-5 night at the plate with three more RBI and Dawson Zeitler hit a solo home run to help out his own cause on the mound as the Warhawks won 13-7.
It was the first time in more than five years that the Knights have lost in conference play.
