Wogen earns IPSWA all-state

DES MOINES – West Fork junior infielder Lukas Wogen was voted to the Iowa Print Sports Writers Association (IPSWA) Class 1A second team all-state baseball squad, announced Tuesday morning.

Wogen, who batted second most of the season, led the Warhawks in batting at a .441 average with 41 hits, including nine doubles and a home run, driving in 17. He struck out only four times all season with an on-base percentage of .519.

A hard out on the base paths, coach Lance Thompson said Wogen had an excellent outing to start the season…
